Reiki Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Asia. The Reiki healer is trained to transfer healing energy from the universe to the patient. Since everything is made up of energy, even matter, energy can be transferred between people. Reiki does not require any belief or dogma for it to work. All sickness and disease is caused by negative energy or stagnant energy in a person created by trauma and self limiting belief patterns. The Reiki healer is able to clear the negative energy away or get stagnant energy moving correctly. In a Reiki session the healer uses specific hand positions on the patient's body to send healing energy. The patient relaxes on a chair, couch, or massage table during the healing. The patient usually experiences a warm, tingling sensation coming from the hands of the healer. In addition to hand positions, the healer is also trained in a set of different symbols that each have their own uses. During a good healing session the patient will enter either a state similar to meditation or fall into a lucid sleep. Reiki healing is helpful for physical, mental, emotion, and spiritual problems. Any problem in one's life can benefit from Reiki. Animals and plants can also benefit from the healing of Reiki. A healer that is at level two Reiki can heal over long distance. There are three levels of Reiki training. There should be a time of practice and studying between training in each level.
As a healer rises to a higher level of Reiki they are able to channel in stronger healing energy and learn more powerful symbols.
Once a Reiki healer has been trained in Reiki 3 they are considered a Reiki master. A Reiki master may be called upon to begin
teaching others Reiki. A Reiki training session includes information on hand positions, chakras, and symbols as well as plenty of practice.
