Change The World

Poem Written by Aaron Pyne 2003

Brainwashed, ignorant, liars enforce their ways upon others
Upon the youth
Passing their fears and their problems upon the youth
Creating an ever growing force of destruction, of fear, of hate
Youth then enslaved into the bondage given to them by their elders
This breeds further injustice, further fear, further hate, further lack of truth
Spreads forth in a spiral, like everything, growing and increasing throughout society
Mental dysfunctions multiply as the youth is further separated from reality and thrown
Into an ever increasing frantic disillusion
Then they are thrown into further fear producing situations-jail, therapists, and medications
This merely creates problems on top of problems
Youth tries to find an escape, an escape from this fear, this hate, this pain, this sadness, this anger, this disillusion
Problems intensify tenfold and nothing is solved
Death then occurs
Not a death of the physical body, for that is only temporary to eternity
A death of the truth, of the light of love
Each person has their own truth to cherish
But all of the negativity given to us by this society creates walls within
Walls are built within the mind, walls that block one from one’s own truth
This is the only real death, the forgetting of the self, of the divinity within your self

Yet, it seems even worse is happening at the same point in time far away
Although, these children are enslaved in starvation and in sickness
They know nothing but to cling onto what life they can and hope they live another day
These children carry on day to day in hopes of some scrap of food, of a sip of water

While children die internally and externally, nature also withers away
Pollution fills the air, the land, and the water
Animals and plants have no idea of what brings about their sickness and their death
They continue on as normal, seeking life
Day by day their environments are destroyed
Toxins never cease in production

The wealthy and powerful are in no better condition
For they have nothing inside them
Empty shells of life
They try to fill their inner void with money and power at the cost of others
But such things can never amount to the inner light of the self
So they continue in their destructive cycles

Nonetheless, hope does remain
It has been and always will be there
The energy of truth, the light of love
Anger, hate, greed, ignorance, and distrust must be let go
Love, sharing, trust, justice, cooperation must rise
We must use all peaceful means to resist the negativity
Change can occur
You are not alone in your desire to change this
We must aid each other, for we are all connected
We are all one, on one planet
We must rise above, we must bring transformation
We must bring love to all

Find that Peace and Love within yourself

Find that Infinite Light within Yourself

Then, bring it out to the world
